Is the enamel surface scratch-resistant?

Enamel is a type of glass, so it's mostly scratch-resistant, but we'd prefer if you didn't test it. Over time, you'll begin to see slight signs of wear, most of which can be cleaned with a little warm water and soap or some bar keepers friend. If you cook a lot, you might see gray feathering that occurs naturally. That's a byproduct of the enamel expanding and contracting over time with exposure to lots of heating and cooling. Not to worry, this won't affect your cooking and only makes your pot look cooler!
